20,000+ automated court checks per month.
Greek court portals publish important case updates but have no notification layer, so lawyers had to check each case by hand.
Challenge
Approach
I designed and built CourtSync, a SaaS platform for legal professionals, built on custom court monitoring infrastructure. Lawyers add the cases they want to track, and CourtSync checks them on a schedule against the Greek court portals.
Four dedicated connectors handle the different court portals. Each scheduled check runs in isolation and, where a portal requires a login, signs in with the lawyer's own credentials, kept encrypted. It then compares the result with the last stored state, keeps a history of every change, and emails the lawyer when something important moves.
The system was built around a simple principle: lawyers should focus on their work and get notified when a case requires their attention, instead of spending time monitoring court portals.
Results & impact
CourtSync is currently in public beta and is used by more than 10 law offices in Athens. The system performs 20,000+ automated court checks per month, monitoring active cases across first-instance courts, appeal courts, and the Supreme Court, and notifying lawyers when tracked information changes.
For the offices on the platform, that is more than 130 hours a month of portal checks that nobody has to make by hand.
* Estimated based on twice-daily manual checks, 20 working days per month, and a one-minute average manual check time.
